|
For this event the members decided to operate from the clubs QTH at brickfields horse country. Which is next to the clubs museum of Radio and Wireless the site also has a museum of horse carragies and has a large amount of stable blocks which is home to many horses including Shire horses. Brickfields horse country is a must see tourist attraction it hosts many events through out the year, and even has small holding off other farm animals and a petting corner. The team meet up at ten and made use of the beam and the wire conditions on Hf where not to good we suffered from heavy qrm which was helped when Colin M0GUN supplied a noise cancelling speaker most bands seemed very quite and the contacts where hard to get. Two meters and sideband where also quite but again contacts where made. |
