Members of Brickfields Amateur Radio Society spent the day demonstrating Amateur Radio to Scouts from various Group from the Island.

Radio modes on display were PSK31, SSTV and HF SSB with HRD Satellite tracking software. The HF bands were unfortunately very poor on the day so not very  many stations were worked.

There were 12 Scout groups totalling over 100 including Leaders. Each group attended 12 half hour sessions throughout the day starting 10:00 with the last group  session at 16:30. Larry G1EUW did the talking for each session explaining the various Amateur Radio modes on display.

Dave 2EØFRB was in contact with Barry MØIOW sending SSTV pictures to Corf Camp for each of the 12 groups. Some of the scouts took the offer to speak to      Barry on the radio sending their names phonetically and exchanging comments.

At the end of each session half a dozen or so Morse practise oscillators were available for the scouts to use.

Many thanks to all the Club members that attended with special thanks to Barry MØIOW for making himself available all-day sending SSTV pictures and talking to  the scouts on the air.
